Descobertas (a proximidade da caminha inglória para a morte)
Pergunto-me vezes sem conta o que move o ser humano na sua caminhada inglória para a morte.
Será o sorriso desdentado do filho? A mão suada do(a) companheiro(a)? A possibilidade de ler um livro, ver um filme, rasgar uma folha de papel. Será a eterna possibilidade de amar mais do que ama no momento, sem saber nem sentir que o momento é hoje e é agora e não retorna nunca mais?
Pergunto-me vezes sem conta o que faz do ser humano, humano. Para além da palavra e da condição.
Será a capacidade inata de sonhar? De esticar os dedos e voar? De pincelar músicas na escuridão?
Navego a imensidão do silêncio da manhã onde esvoaçam pombos que odeio com uma força implacável. Odeio pombos. O barulho que fazem. O bater das suas asas chochas. Odeio pombos.
Dia após dia, noite após noite, nada me faz sentido dentro de mim.

Sento-me em frente ao televisor e descubro que algures lá longe, lá tão longe que nem sabemos onde fica e onde é e por isso não conseguimos ter pena suficiente há uma mulher que deixou o filho e fugiu para Portugal.
Sento-me em frente ao televisor. Pergunto-me o que é uma mãe. Pergunto-me o que é um filho. O que é uma guerra. O que faz da guerra uma faca que corta o coração, a garganta, os laços e as esperanças. Pergunto-me o que é a insanidade.
Pergunto-me também o que é uma bomba. Uma sirene. A romper-nos o silêncio. A romper-nos. A obrigar os nossos pés assustados a movimentarem-se ao encontro da morte.
Pergunto-me o que é sentir a morte tão perto todos os dias, saber que amanhã o sol poderá não nascer aos nossos olhos e o nosso mundo terminar e que importa, que importa digam-me, que outros olhos vejam o mesmo sol e que a vida continue aqui neste planeta ridículo quando os nossos olhos se fecharam e o nosso ser cessou e nunca mais nascerá um ser igual com iguais olhos e iguais aflições e temores.
Tantas perguntas no meu rosto. Sulcadas nas minhas mãos. Aflige-me a previsibilidade inocente do ser humano. A ambição desmedida do seu destino de encontro à dama de negro. Ou de branco? Quem sabe? Aflige-me a previsibilidade dos meus dedos e das minhas palavras e das minhas aflições imaturas.
Descubro em frente ao televisor a negação primordial do ser humano. O nascimento do míssil e da explosão e do medo e da dor e das lágrimas escuras.
Descubro que nada sei sobre a guerra o que me impede de a escrever e de me afligir verdadeiramente com ela.
Descubro que em milhões de lares se come pão e se bebe sumo e se bebe cerveja e se come frango e se comem crianças e sonhos e temores e aflições, enquanto nos deleitamos com a sensação que é não estarmos ali. E podermos conjecturar acerca disso.
Descubro que a morte nunca está demasiado perto para ser nossa.
É essa descoberta de que os sinos dobram (também) por nós que nos faz sentir responsáveis e impotentes diante de uma realidade tão absurda como a guerra.
